Cisco endorses Latin America
Three BT locations in Latin America - Argentina, Brazil and Mexico - have again achieved top endorsements from BT partner Cisco.
Following the network supplier's naming of BT Brazil as a gold partner and BT Mexico and BT Argentina as silver partners, BT's Valdir de Souza said: "I'm delighted to say we achieved all the requirements of the Cisco certification programme and have secured recertification at each location."
Valdir - head of alliances and partnerships for BT Latin America - added that the feat had been accomplished without the necessity of carrying out audits, enabling huge cost savings.
In addition to the recertification in Argentina, Brazil and Mexico, BT Latin America also has Cisco premier certifications - specialising in unified communications and in routing and switching - in Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador and all Central America and Caribbean countries.
Valdir believes all these certifications have reinforced BT Latin America's position in the marketplace.
He said: "BT Latin America is now well positioned as one of the main Cisco partners in the region, with strong capabilities and a good set of products that are unique in the market."
Other special authorisations achieved by BT in the region include being a managed services certified partner and authorised technology provider for TelePresence.
