Where we're going: Previews of coming events
Telecom World, 7-8 July 2010, Amsterdam Because volcanic ash closed the skies to air traffic over Europe in mid-April, the organiser postponed the conference to July. Oscar Ruiz, president of GTM, will participate in the panel session "Effectively adapting your business to make the most from convergence".
Carriers World, 28-30 September, London Oscar Ruiz, president of GTM, will speak on the panel "Maximising the new revenue opportunities presented by the rise of cloud computing".
EMEA Service Provider VIP Summit, 28 & 29 September 2010, Istanbul Steve Kelly - GTM vice president for Central and Eastern Europe, Latin America, Middle East and Africa - will participate in the panel debate on "Evolving Interconnection - From TDM to IP to IMS".
Global Carrier Community Meeting, 11-12 October, London Andrew Dodsworth, GTM general manager of Global Voice Mobility Markets, will participate in a panel session on "Why is the IP eXchange (IPX) the next generation interconnecting solution?".

Telecoms Energy Management & Environmental Sustainability, 14-16 April, Amsterdam Chris Saxe, BT Telconsult head of operations, presented "The BT Perspective on Telecoms Energy Management in the New Age Environment".
Next Generation Telecom Wholesale Asia, 17-21 May, Singapore Erik Marell, BT Telconsult Regional Director for Southeast Asia, presented "Reaping value by creating new opportunities for downstream and upstream customers". He also participated in the panel session "Future wholesale opportunities for carriers in Asia".
Bryan Camoens, online communications manager for conference producer IQPC Worldwide Pte Ltd, talked to Erik about how "Carriers have to do more than just invest in the network", and posted the interview on the event website for interested people to read.
