From the desk of Carla Somhorst
Dear readers,
I am proud to announce that in March 2010, BT launched its Virtual iPBX service - a hosted IP-based private branch exchange (PBX) for BT resellers - in The Netherlands. Other countries will follow.
V-iPBX allows you to offer your customers the enhanced IP voice services they expect - quickly, simply and cost-effectively. V-iPBX stands out as a service offering greater added value than traditional wholesale services.
The launch of Virtual iPBX (V-iPBX) is exciting, not least because the service harnesses the potential of cloud computing, as you can see in the diagram below.
Virtual iPBX enabling you to become a provider of virtual IP phone systems
V-iPBX offers regular voice services (IP, SIP and PSTN), voicemail and PC fax, plus a number of unified communications features such as computer telephony integration via soft phone, dual ringing, Outlook integration with presence information, fixed-to-mobile integration, conference rooms and interactive voice response.
The PBX capacity and functionality are tailored to your needs. For remote management, you can access a reseller web management portal through a VPN.
With this service, BT helps customers reduce their costs, especially CAPEX, and increase their revenues.
Our BT roadmap shows more services from the cloud coming your way, including BT Virtual Data Centre. I will keep you posted.
To find out more, you can visit our demo room and experience V-iPBX live, and of course you are welcome to contact me.
I look forward to hearing from you and perhaps meeting you in our demo room!
